Joint grouting

Brickwork always endows any building, construction, new structure with unique nobility and delicacy. To made facade make more elegant, pretty and complete in the context of design, joint grouting of brickwork is required. This finishing stage of construction or repair provides not only excellent visual effect, but also extra wear-resistant properties such as weather resistance, increased tightness, extended life of the construction.

Every master should perform procedures to improve aesthetic appearance of brickwork with any method he finds comfortable. There two mostly used ways: when the joints are made convex or concave.

To carry out treatment that allows to get concave joints, it's required to use small putty knife that allows to fill vertical and horizontal joints simultaneously. When grouting mixture is spread between the bricks, the instrument is turned the way so that the bending is inside and remove spillovers with it.

To get convex grouting the mixture is spread the same method. Then an arcwise tool is applied to the joints arc out. When a joint is filled, it's allowed to smoothly run the tool further. This way all horizontal joints are treated and when the mixture has dried out it's allowed to carry out grouting similarly to the one of vertical joints.

Spillovers of grouting mixture are easily removed from a brick surface with wet wiper, it doesn't require special skills or craft from a worker. It needs to correctly prepare mixture that will be high-quality and reliable and will serve for many years, providing aesthetic appearance of the brickwork and preventing ingress of moisture.
